|Another sandpiper shot taken on the same trip. This one was a bit of a fluke with regard to the water splash. Sandpipers like to cruise the receding tides in search of any food that gets left behind in the shallow pools.|
Sandpipers can often be seen dipping their long slender beaks into the shallows to pick up some food.
Shot at 300mm (450mm equivalent)
