Weevils seem to be very common in the Iranian fauna, but hardly any research on them has ever been conducted. And sadly most people don't even see these beautiful animals even when they pass them closely.
I took this picture on a meadow high up in the Alborz Mountains, in their northwestern reaches.
I added only some USM.
