Hello Everyone,

Today my post is of a starling, from last year.
I watched the starling parents work diligently over several weeks collecting food for their developing nestlings.

They frequently rested on this wire before entering the nest, in a nearby wall, with their offerings.

I found it quite remarkable that the birds could catch and carry such a beakful without losing any! It was quite obvious that worms were a firm favourite!

This shot was difficult to take due to the problem of shooting towards the sun, and in many cases, there was no eye reflection, which rendered the bird without personality.

Many thanks for you interest.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hello Beverley,
I like the way you caught the green iridescence of the summer plumage of this busy starling, the lighting and POV being right for that.
The image is sharp and well composed on the wire against a fine blue sky and nicely framed too.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hi Bev,this is a little artwork! The diagonal that cut the pic and the point of view are unusual and create a great spectacle! You manage very well this terrible backlight to have a best result as possible. My best compliments, have a nice week,LUCIANO
