This is amazing! What a shot! The bird is very well exposed, the pose is utterly amazing, the composition is very strong and the colors are fine. I have just one nit; there's a halo appearing around the bird. I am afraid you oversharpened it. Anyway, this still is a striking picture. Well done & TFS!

I once found a hermit crab on the beach. His destiny seemed to dry out and dye there. I gave him a chance by throwing him as far as possible back to the see. On its way, a seegul stopped flying and tried to catch. I'm amazed by your pic because it is exactly what I saw then. It seems your were taking pictures next to me that day!

Just wanted to let you know how impressive this pictures is! What a moment. You must have been thrilled. I did not have tme to read all the comments, but I was wondering if this sea gull was doing what ours do here in the states? Our gull pick up shells and fly over any hard surface (road, rocks etc) then drop the shell from a good height. The shell breaks open and....dinner!
