[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The first thing I saw when I stepped into Omkar hills last Saturday was this emigrant mating, the lighting and the situation was too good miss a shot.

Here i have used the back lit wings to create a kind of translucent effect and also used a reflector to highlight the details in the shadow.

Anil Pinto, Mukund, Satish, Arjun and Akshay were with me when i shot this.

Hello Goutham,
Really fabulous shot. The light-management is perfect. You seem to use a reflector to highlight shadow-parts (is it this white paper you wrote me about and doesn't that frighten the insects?)
I also probably will hear from you when you come to Switzerland :-)
Thanks and kind regards

Hello Goutham,
excellent capture, very sharp details and great light,
have a nice day,

Hello Goutham,
With superb light management and sharpness you have created a wonderful image of a pair of mating Emigrant butterflies, the features of both the male and the female shown with fine clarity and artistry that includes an ideal BG.
Thanks and best regards,

Superb shot, Ramesh'na...
I love the PP work too!
Very well done!

Your innovative experimentation has consistently produced outstanding results and this picture is no exception, Goutham.
The mating butterflies look almost surrealistic but fascinatingly beautiful at the same tome.
I'm happy to know that your creative team works in tandem and the youngsters like Arjun and Akshay are shaping into potential aces under your and Satish's guidance.
Thanks and all the best.

Hi Goutham,

Reverse light, but
Color and details of the macro value.
have a nice weekend,

Hi Goutham,
As is usual with your shots, this is technically perfect.
Your knowledge of photography technique and your skill is very evidentt in this excellent work.
I would have scared them off trying to set yup a reflector (if I'd even thought of such a thing).
Really good work here Goutham.
I think we could all learn a lot from you.

hello Goutham
nothing blamable, composition, POV, management of back lighting, colour, all perfect, wonderful photo

Hello Goutham,
Very impressive shot with a nice backlight playing in the wings of the butterflies. Very well done! Best regards,

Hello Goutham!
Beautiful capture of these two lovely butterflies! Perfect details, sharpness and DOF. Beautiful colours too :)
Nothing to add :)
All the best from Poland,

Hi Goutham,

You ahve taken macro photography to such a high level of perfection. Great lighting and control, what I liked most is the ration of light you could keep for the BG and subject. TFS

PERFECT shot Goutham,

Excellent POV, Light BG and colors
Beautifull composed
Superb sharpness showing a lot of details

TFS Thijs

A charming shot of these beautiful creatures. The green bg with combination of soft yellow and green on the butterflies, together with the backlighting make this an awesome catch.
