Superb shot of this colourful grasshopper. I liked it. Nice macro. Nice bright colours and nice capture of the eyes.
I regret I can not help with ID, is the first time in my life that I see this bug. But certainly there are some similarities with the pictus Poekilocerus, but lack some of the blue in the legs, wings and a lack of the more obscure, that in this insect are just forming. It may be a young specimen.
What I can attest, is that your technique has improved rapidly from one photo to another, in this picture the details are good and solid colors, the composition is perfect. detailed drawing of the leaves at the top doubles. also did you use the flash properly, achieving a better result.
Greetings and TFS!
What an incredible grasshopper.
The design on its body makes me think of the intricate and colorful patterns found in delicate china or enamel.
Very interesting specimen.
A little sharpening and contrast might bring out the lines more distinctly.

Hope you'll be doing fine. Although you posted this photo a few months back but I think it is not too late to give you an ID of this unique insect of our region, it is the young one of our Painted Grasshopper(Poekilocerusictus)which are mostly seen on their favourite host plant Ak or Aak or Rubber Bush plant (Calotropis procera). Thanks a lot for sharing a wondrous photo, take care...warmest regards/Abid
