After spending few hours taking photos to the elephants, I went to the riverside in the Zoo, to eat an apple and this cute animal came beside me asking for a share...I think is a otter? |

Hi Nora,
It is a coypu also named nutria (Myocastor coypus). They've been imported from South America to Europe for their fur. The fur is not of interest any more. The escaped animals are becoming numerous and are a plague here. The holes they dig dry the lacs. They eat so much grass that our native animals have difficulties to compete. They do not have real predators here.
They are rodent and very different from otters which are carnivorous.
