Excellent study of levana, but how sad to hear that the habitat will soon be lost. Of course, we have lost many such places here too, but thankfully we have some people with the forsight to set aside woodland and marsh for conservation. Thanks for posting.

Ein Bilderbuchbild, alles stimmt: Aufbau, Licht, Farben und Schärfe. Traurige Nachricht, was diese Falter in Deiner Gegend betrifft!
Hier habe ich leider noch nie einen gesehen!

Perfect picture of Map butterfly. Yes, it is summer, second generation flies around. Beautifull macro with well visible colours and patterns on wings. Great composition with thistle flower and clear BG. I was going to post similiar picture today, but you're first :-)

I believe you've reached the light needed to allow each and every detail of the wing, were transferred from perfect in the photo.

auch wenn man als autofahrer neue straßen mag, in diesem fall wohl eher nicht, wenn dieser tolle falter dem bau zum opfer
fällt. klasse aufnahme wie aus dem lehrbuch oder für ein buch, mit perfekten scharfen details und schönen farben.
