Leopard just jumping down the tree. He was very close as you could on the focus of 85mm I had used for this shots. I had no time to focus exactly ... with a little bit fear I pressed down the shutter button and I was very happy that a lot of the 16 picture are well done.

Wikipedia:
The leopard Panthera pardus) is a member of the Felidae family and the smallest of the four "big cats" in the genus Panthera; the other three are the tiger, lion and jaguar. Once distributed across southern Asia and Africa, from Korea to South Africa, the leopard's range of distribution has decreased radically over time due to hunting and loss of habitat, and the leopard now chiefly occurs in sub-Saharan Africa. There are fragmented populations in Pakistan, India, Indochina, Malaysia, and China. Due to the loss of range and continual declines in population, the cat has been downgraded to "Near Threatened" species; its numbers are greater than that of the other Panthera species, all of which face more acute conservation concerns

Hallo Achem
I would love the opportunity to capture a leopard in any pose or at any spot. Just seeing one is so thrilling, I can only but imagine the excitement being able to capture one. I like the position you have captured this one on the tree trunk, showing the blue sky through the green leaves of the tree. Thanks for sharing and making me a bit jealous with this photograph. Best regards.
Anna

Hi Achim,

Nice shot! great to see the big cat on the tree. Leopard is too rare to see in wild in India. You have caught it nicely with no distortion. The image is sharp. I liked it.

TFS,
Kedar

Hello Achim, this is a beautiful shot of a beautiful animal. Given the circumstances I would say you had done an outstanding job with the shot.

I'm sure your home copy looks awesome but in preparation for "the web" it looks like you may have lost some saturation in the colour. I've played with this a bit in a workshop to provide you with another option.

Thanks, John

Hi Achim,

The tree and the branches are framing well the animal. The point of view is showing the colors and details of the leopard. It is clear and precise. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
