Scarce Copper
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This butterfly is very little but it's very beautiful.
Familie: Lycaenidae
Lycaena virgaureae (LINNAEUS, 1758)
Flight Time: June - September
Size: 30-36mm
The male Scarce Copper is a strikingly beautiful butterfly with his vivid, solid orange upperside which is very conspicuous in flight. The undersides are very characteristic with the white splodges in the post-discal line. The female upperside is much duller and very spotty. Despite its name, this butterfly seems quite common in upland areas over about 1000m. Females are seen more rarely. |

Hi Rimantas,
Lovely pose and colours. The background has a little noise and the wings need a little sharpening. So I have made a workshop. Thanks for posting.
