The Green Woodpecker

from Wikipedia:
The Green Woodpecker (Picus viridis) is a member of the woodpecker family Picidae. There are four subspecies and it occurs in most parts of Europe and in western Asia.
Although the Green Woodpecker is shy and wary, it is usually its loud calls which first draw attention. It 'drums' rarely (a soft, fast roll), but often gives a noisy 'kyü-kyü-kyück' while flying |

Hello Pierre,
Good picture with nice colors and very good approach. I suggest to the next, a composition more based on the thirds (in this case third right).
I see some noise in the background, I imagine that is related to the ISO 800 used.
It's also good to use SW to lower noise levels in the picture. In my case, recently, other members have suggested me work with Neat Image, I have yielded good results.
Nice Weekend & TFS!

Bonjour Pierre,
I really like the lighting in this shot, bringing out the deep richness of the colors.
That little green woodpecker is a gem, showing wonderful details and perfect exposure.
The pose is excellent, as it gives you a full face presentation.
The relative smallness of the bird in this composition, as well as the depth of field you have chosen, accentuate the vastness of the forest around him.
His stare is alert.
I almost find myself stretching my neck and listening intently to the sounds of the woods.
TFS. : )
Excelente enfoque, limpieza en los colores y fondo.
Saludos: J. Ignasi.
