[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Every year I take pictures of this beautiful mountian cushion-like shrublet. Acantholimon is a huge genus of Asian, mountainous species. A. libanoticum is one of the westermonst species, growing in the Lebanon Mts and Mt Hermon, where this pic was taken. It blooms in July after most other plants are drying. It is a cushion-like spiny plant, typical for the sub-alpine (Tragacanth) belt.

Hi Ori,

Interesting plant which seems to grow in a bare rocky area so it must be fairly impervious to heat. Nice colours and it must be a lovely display to see.

Lovely take of this Tragacanth species. I never made it to the Hermon that late in the season. A pity!

Please make sure you enter the right camera type in your posting.

Cheers!

Preciosa Ori. Estas flores de montaña y mas concretamente en las rocas siempre son impresionantes.
