[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
It's been a long time since I've been to Manito Park, but it was an enjoyable experience. This duck amazed me by how close she came. I actually had to back away; sadly, we had to leave because the sun came out. When we started out, the day was overcast, making it easier for me to get involved in the love of my life: photography!
I do have one proud announcement to make: I won the Judges Choice Award at the local fair on Friday.
For some reason, this duck caught my attention. It was the color, the definition of her feathers, and her webbed feet (hard to see here) as she wandered around the pond. I wish I could explain it, but I felt we bonded...
Enjoy your week and keep snapping!

Congratulations and keep on clicking. You have greatly surpassed the benchmark! Clarity and color and just dog-goned cool!

Great shot Kathy, I love the deepness of the colours in the feather and the sharpness too. Superb! And congratulations!

I thought I heard a tapping sound and now I've found the source! Mrs. Mallard was obviously tapping her bill on my monitor screen! i love the 3-D quality to this image. It looks like her head is popping right out. I think you found the sweet spot on that lens. Nice work!
We spent Monday hiking at Mt. Rainier. Overcast sure makes shooting flowers easier too. They were glorious. But we also had the wind !... which was no fun at all. Takes a lot of patience.
