NOTE: please view workshop version.
Hi,
This was taken at Mupe Bay on the same night as my previous posting from this location.
This was taken slightly earlier than the last before the sun had dissapeared.
It was a fairly dull sunset, but i think the cokin 'neutral' grad has enhanced and added more pink tones into the sky than were actually present.
Thanks for looking

Hi Ewan
This is a very nice shot from Mupe Bay!
The lonely pointy rock in the distance acts like a very nice focal point as the viewers eyes go all the way from the immediate FG towards it.
I also like the texture and motion on the rocks and between them...it creates a large mosaic that is evident right from the thumbnail.
Nicely done and taken.
Bravo and TFS

wow, incredible result!
I love how filter gives warm shades for sky, and long exposure is great!
Very well done photo, thank you for sharing!
All my best,
Elena
Hi Ewan - beautiful - the colours and clarity all the way through the shot make it special. The movement of the water in the foreground is great. TFS, Cerys
Hi Ewam,
Yup, the WS version looks better. It's time for a monitor calibration tool. Besides that, the photo is a beauty. I like the rough look of the sea and the many rocks leading the eye up to the stag. This time the color cast of the Cokin helped you to give the sky even more color but I am sure that it is not something you really want. The technical part of the photo is awesome but you might want to look at the horizon though. There is a slight lens distortion visible.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Ewan
I'm on a calibrated screen (Spyder 3 Elite) and I think somewhere between the 2 pictures would work really well tending towards the workshop one.
What do you use for editting? The Canon software Digital Professional Photo that comes free with your camera (same as mine) would take the lens distortion out if you are shooting in RAW format, then do the free updates from the canon website which will add significantly more tools to the software.
All that said, this is a very strong picture and it works really well for me, though I think the rocks on the horizon either needs to be exactly central or on one of the vertical thirds to just add that little extra to the picture on the composition side of things.
TFS and Happy New Year
Emma
