Today, my idea is to show you from where come the mushrooms which I photographed.

Saint Jorioz, my village is on the left. Annecy is in the background... It's a view from Forclaz Pass.
And you can see the green mountains and forests all around the lake. This lake is 18000 years old and comes from glacier...

Lac d'Annecy > altitude : 446.5 m - area : 27 km2 - average deep : 41 m - lenght : 14.6 km - water volume : 1 124 500 000 m3.

Thanks to the doctor Servettaz, in 1962, Annecy and the surrounding villages saved this lake from an ecological disaster to make it the purest lake in Europe.

Note : You imagine that the original photo is in better quality than this reduction. A company of publicity bought to me this photograph to make of it a beautifull ornamental panel (4x3meters) in a famous shop ;-)

I hope you like this country, more pictures on www.hautesavoie.new.fr

You live in a very beautiful place, Christian, now I realize where those wonderful fungi come from. The photograph is very nice, looking at it I wonder if there isn´t a lot of tourists in summer around. Thanks for posting, and congratulations, you are lucky to live in a place like this, I feel envy.

A beautiful place to live and very nicely captured.
Great tones of colour and nice detail, the tiny houses and road in the distance give a good sense of scale.
