Southern damselfly (Coenagrion mercuriale), I shot the Photo today, on a walk round the Keddinghausen Lake, there were lots of the southern damselflys.

Very well captured with excellent sharpness and quality with great used of DOF,attractive contrast between the insect and the plant,an appealing colors for eyes,great background and also very well controlled the light,nicly composed and I enjoy it,Martina...,Thanks.

Great sharpness, composition and pov; I like colors too. The blurred bg works very well too.

Hello Martina,
Sorry for my late comment, but I saw that the ID was not right. This is a male Common Blue Damselfly / Becher-Azurjungfer / Enallagma cyathigerum! I am 100 % sure!
This is a species much more common than the coenagrion mercuriale which is quit rare!
