[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While being a little bored in the east of Oregon we decided to make a short trip to Anthony Lake. It was a nice place to visit, but nothing really spectacular. It's more a small ski resort with a few lakes nearby.

At one of the lakes we stopped and immediately heard the call of the Osprey. I attached my 70-200 lens to the camera and went out on a hunt for some action shots. I knew that I would not turn out into one of those close captured detailed shots because 200mm is just not enough. But I am glad I got the above result.

Hello Niek,
Nice action shots of a fishing Osprey, the wing movements being well shown in this sequence nicely put together in this collage.
You made good use of the 200 mm capacity of your zoom, which though not sufficiently powerful, has given sharp and well-exposed images.
Thanks and all the best,
Ivan

The action sequence is well documented here, Niek.
However, I would have preferred to see the three shots bigger and independently.
Thanks and all the best.

Hi Niek

It's a shame you didn't have a great long lens...i'm sure you would have handled it very well and come home with some stunning close-ups...
But to be frank, this is actually a great collage.
I like the presentation that shows your quick action, capturing the osprey at the exact time when he is grabbing its prey. You did also very well to burst your exposures and capture several frames with the subject in action.
The vertical presentation is, as i mention, very inspired, too. To me it reminds me of a role of film unwinding as it dries out :)
Great work, considering your lens limitations, my friend.

Bravo and TFS

That's a pretty collage, Niek, very nice to watch the moment.
Thanks and greetings
