|Ammophila littoralis and Echinophora spinosa|
A greyish November day on the beach of Valle Vecchia, Natural Reserve in North-eastern Veneto, Italy,
can also give nice little scenes. As some Native Americans call the grass "the hair of mother earth", this bunch of Ammophila seemed to me like she just came from a hair stylist...
The Valle Vecchia is the last bigger area of natural dunes on the Veneto coast, which is occupied by summer tourists from all of Europe since the fifties of the last century,The dunes were levelled and destroyed on almost all coasts of the northern Adriatic Sea to make place for vegetable crops first, hotels, camping sides and flat large beaches later on.
The few rests of dunes distributed along the coast contain very special botanical elements, described already by J.W.von Goethe (Cavallino/Venice).
Several of these sites are under weak protection, and it's one of my aims to communicate their beauty, particularity and value to the people, especially to the tourists.

Guten Tag Ursula,
A lovely photo with a nice artistic feel to it. Your low POV is perfect and really brought the subject away from the ground. As for a recommendation, try to be sure that the field of view toward the subject is as clean as possible, or use strong objects. The few grasses on the left that are out of focus distract a little.
