Hello,

Well it's been a very, very stormy and wet weekend here in the south of the UK. In fact, it's been like this for a few weeks now. On Sunday i had some free time so a friend and i hiked westwards along the cliffs from Lulworth Cove to here, Mupe Rocks.
In between torrential downpours and constant howling wind, the clouds would part and allow a brief opening for the sunshine to stream through...before swallowing it up again.
There was absolutely no point using a tripod here as it would have been instantly blown over, so this is hand held sheltering in the lee of a large boulder!

Thanks for looking...

Hi Paul. This picture just about sums up the last few weeks so well. Your timing was spot on to capture the sun rays .I turned the sound up on my computer because i thought i would be able to hear the sea. I like he waythe sun light is giving life to the colours of the sea. very well taken TFS.

Hello Paul,
Impressive photo, superb light and colours. You caught this view in very good moment.

Hallo Paul
Only one word can describe a view like this and that would be Magic The feeling captured is that of serenity and peace and the rays of light coming from the sky works wonders, and adds to the tranquil feeling captured of this wonderful scenery. The colour and detail of the water, playing hide and seek between the rocks is awesome. Thanks for sharing this "dreamy" and "soft on the eye" piece of paradise. Once again it was a pleasure stopping by. Best regards and thanks for sharing.

Excellent combination of light and forms to give us the feel of the storm.

This reminds me of the paintings of Turner.

Well done!

Hi Paul
Your hike in the nasty weather was worth it for this beauty! I guess the image does give a false impression of warmth to some TN contributors judging from their comments, but living in this part of the world I can vouch just how blustery and unpleasant it's been. Not exactly what I'd describe as 'paradise'! ;p
Excellent details and perfect exposure.
Kind Regards
Vinny

Witaj Paul,
once again shows us a wonderful world, seen your eyes: foamed gold wave contain a mystery, sunken ships, underwater treasures, mermaid arising along at dusk.
Or maybe you've been waiting for one of them?
Good luck and greet!

Hello Paul,
Fabulous light and great atmosphere created by the movement of the waves and the sunrays coming through a cloudhole. In a way your seascape looks like some very archaic place. Excellent composition and sharpness (even if no tripod was used).
Thanks and kind regards

Hello Paul,
This is the positive side of the bad weather. What a great contrasts in this photo in colours and shapes. The sky is full of it, the waves are full of it and the rocks evenso.
The light is very beautiful, silvery over the waves.
You took this photo from a perfect point of view, just on the right moment.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Paul!

Many thanks for sharing this magnificent picture with us. The atmosphere is mystic, serene and simply beautiful. I especially like the lightplay that creates this particular effect. Looking at pictures like this one remembers me how small I am...

Kind regards

Hello Paul,

Amazing light here, reminds me of the work of a famous ocean painter!
