Cantharellus lutescens

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Cantharellus lutescens, commonly known as Yellow Foot, is a species of mushroom closely related to Cantharellus tubaeformis. Its hymenium is usually orange or white, whereas the hymenium of C. tubaeformises is grey. C. lutescens is also usually found in wetlands.

This is an excellent edible mushroom.

Very nice photo of this lowly mushrooms!

Mmmmmmmmm... me voy a Portugal ahora mismo a ver si encuentro hongos.

Hello Jose.
Nice capture of this beauties, lovely low POV and good colours. You isolated them nicely from the leaf mess.
Thanks and best regards Siggi

Such a beautiful grouping of mushrooms among natural forest litter Jose, you succesfully "deepened" the focal zone with that f/13 and nicely prevented any camera shake by utilizing a tripod, which resulted in a perfect composition. TFS indeed my friend.

Hello Jose,
You post another beautiful image of mushrooms for all to enjoy viewing. Perfectly composed photo showing wonderful detail, natural colors, super DOF and just the right exposure!! Well done!!
I love to eat mushrooms, but only try a few that I really know well (Spring Morel and Field Mushroom) I wish I had a better knowledge of those that are edible.

Hallo Jose
Time is currently chasing me but, in short I want to say:………..
This is a striking image, with lovely detail captured on the fungus. When I looked at the
thumbnail it looked like a crowd of people standing behind one another on steps,
posing for the camera. The colours in this image is warm and inviting and brought across
beautifully. I like the dried leaves in the background. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards from a very humid Empangeni.

Ciao Jose, splendid ligh on lovely mushrooms, elegant composition with wonderful autuimnal colors and excellent sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio
