It is good to see you back as I missed your presence and valuable contributions on the site. You have captured this Gannet from very close range and the details seen are just so beautiful and eye-catching. The blue eyelid and the pure white feathers is a pleasure to look at, and the toffee colour head feathers looks so smooth and soft and create a feeling inside of me that I would love to stroke it in affection. Hi Janice

Now isn't that just swell? For the second time today I have the opportunity to say
"Howdy" to a long lost friend. First Howard and now you. Seems like this Christmas
is really presenting us with some wonderful gifts. Welcome back stranger and now
don't go gallivanting all across New Zealand and forgetting about your friends here.
Consider that as a stern and final warning (chuckle).

I fancy this "high speed action" shot. You have captured excellent details in the birds
plumage and facial region. I just love how that blue eye seems to focus on the task
at hand. These preening moments always tend to be rather difficult shots to capture
in such a way that it makes sense for the eyes while still remaining photographically
sound as well. You did a great job.
