Welcome after long break, in another world :-)

This is my first and not very good picture from my Biolux AL microscope. I'm not quite happy with result, but I see many possibilities to improve it in future. There is lots to learn!

I identified few creatures from my photo, but rest is still total enigma for me :-) Maybe friends from TN could help?

Last but not least - droplets of water on this post were taken from my desk aquarium.

You captured a small world, a world that a photo camera and any macro lens cannot do it. And still, this little creatures are part of our environment. Looking at this image I remember the years in faculty, when this creatures were an entire enigma for the students. So, TFS!

Hello Greg,
Great to see a post from you again and this must certainly be a 'first' on TN!! The micro world is very fascinating and I bet you're enjoying new discoveries in your microscope. I wonder what else you have in your aquarium??
Have a lovely holiday and a Happy New Year!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Dear Grzegorz
Your unusual contribution looks like an abstract "happening" - very interesting!

Since I joined this site three months ago, I have asked our resident Biologists, if they take photos under the microscope...

It is a fascinating world - as Ulla says - and unfortunately I have no idea what creatures we see! I cannot judge, either if the result is good or bad:) I have no comparison. All I know, is that I like it very much and hope to see more.

Best wishes and good luck,
Kind regards

Witaj Grzeg,
Very nice microscopical collage. Unfortunately I can't help with any ID but I truly hope to own a microscope once, because it's essential for identifying fungi species.
At the same time I wish You and Your loved ones a very happy 2010. Friendly regards from Wegry, Wladyslaw
