This is my 50th post on Trek nature. It may not seem big seeing as Nick posted his 600th today but I am glad to have reached it and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has critiqued any of my photos.

This is a river that runs down from Cwm Idwal and the lake in the valley beneath it. The mountain behind is Idwal which has had two people rescued on it in the past two days, and I even witnessed one on my walk. I hope you all like the long exposure creating the milky effect.
Hope you all enjoy.

Sion,

This is a lovely post! I see you are using a new camera. How do you like it? I have the 40D and I love it.

The motion of the water is exquisite and the framing with the mountain in the BG is wonderful.

TFS,
MP

Hello Sion, and congratulation on your 50th post.
I love the composition in this beautiful shot. The framing is perfect and the slow shutter resulted in some amazing results with the running water. The earth toned colors are gorgeous!! Well done!! Can't wait to see your next 50!
Ron

Hi Sion,

Congratulations on your 50th posting on TN! This is trully incredible shot of a speed running waterfall. The movement mood and dynamism here impressive! Great exposure indeed. Your magnificent POV and the composition are also superb.
TFS and have a nice day!
Cheers,

bayram

Hello there Sion,

This is a nice break in of your new camera! Congratulations on your 50th post! Nice POV of this beautiful scenery, i like how you set the exposure to capture the flowing water movement, nice catch. Looking forward to see more beautiful photos from you. :-)
Best Wishes for the coming year,

Arman

Hi Sion,
Greay shot of this beautiful untammed piece of nature. The slow shutter gave you a wonderful effect on the fast rushing water. The entire feel has a great ominous feel to it, as if the weather could change any minute. I do feel that the photo is a bit on the soft side and could use some sharpening. It also feels as if the white balance was a bit too warm. I think that adjusting the levels and curves will help.
TFS,
Niek

P.S. Congrats on your 50th upload

Ooohhh, it's beautiful, Sion, I love the silky effect of the water.
I just can feel the spray of the falling water when I get nearer to the monitor ;-)
Thanks, very well done, greetings

Hallo Sion
Congratulations on your 50th posting, and what a special scenery you have chosen to celebrate and share it with. A scene like this must surely be magic to see in real. There is such a variety of elements of nature to appreciate in this wonderful scene. The movement and mist of the water of the waterfall is very soft on the eye and such a delight to look at. Although it looks cold up there, it also looks so peaceful. A real beautiful snowy landscape. Thanks for sharing. I wish you and your family the all of the best, which you so well deserve. May you have a wonderful photographic year in 2010. Best regards.
Anna

Hi Sion

I know that it is a little on the late side - but congratulations on the 50th post.

In someways I like the composition and in others I don't. I like the overall composition setup, but feel that there is not enought room at the top of bottom of the frame, simply not enough space between the top of the mountain and the top of the frane - the same applies at the bottom. Otherwise the inverted V of the mountain matches the V of the gully and the inverted V of the water really well.

TFS
Emma
