Odonata [3] Cora Marina close-up

This is the same female of Cora marina whose photo I published yesterday. This time I wanted them to see a frontal close-up, where you can watch the mouthparts and eyes, which incidentally are quite large in proportion to body.

This picture obviously has its limitations. It's taken with my compact camera in macro mode, about 5 centimeters away from the insect. I think it's probably the limit of approach for a picture with my camera, which allows regular details. The glow that appears in the eyes is the sun, because the photo was taken at midday near a creek in a rain forest, where coincidentally the damselfly perched on a leaf with direct incidence of sunlight.

Thanks for stop and visit!

Hi Jeasus. Now this is what i call a close up of the face area. The eyes look so large and jet black. Taken with sharp focusing and fine detail . You use of the light has given bright colours and a shine in the eye. TFS.

Hello Jesús,
A superb macro of the head of this damselfly!
The frontal POV shows the features with excellent sharpness, colours and lighting and the DOF is just right to show it up and put it in perspective.

Hellow Jesus,
Brilliant close up with head on perspective.Your pin sharp image accurately showing the fine details on its face and of course the protruding eyes are quite powerfully brought across.

Hallo Jesus
Wow this Cora marina surely have some large eyes and very detailed and well seen hairs in the face and on its chin. I very much like the glow in the eyes created by the sun as it looks as if the eyes are twinkling. You have managed the direct and harsh sunlight very well looking at the end result of this great macro. The details are really sharp and beautifully portrayed. I also fancy the centralized position and the shadow below the insect on the plant. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
