Hello Smitha

A lovely dedication to your father - my mother died a little over a year ago.

Superb shot - the light is magical - highlighting both animals. The pose is likewise excellent.

I spent ages photographing gaur in Chitwan, Nepal, but did not get anything as good as this.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences with your loss. It's not easy losing a father and
I can understand why you needed time to adjust and work through this sad time. Keep the
eyes on the future and may God be with you and your family. A lovely dedication and I am
sure you dad would have approved of you choice.

I like this natural shot showing the two animals in their natural environment. It looks like the
calf got its eyes focussed on the teat and it is coming in for a sip. Nice details and I like how
the light came in from the side. Lovely warm colours too.

I was sorry to hear about the loss of your father (Ulla told me earlier).
This is a beautiful photo of a Gaur cow with her calf. The lighting is superb and the POV just right for the composition with the contrasting OOF forest BG.
This photo symbolises rebirth and the continuation of life and makes a fine tribute to your father.
I am sure he was proud of his daughters.

Dear Smitha
A beautiful dedication and a well worthy one indeed. No matter how old we are or how long we have been married and out of their homes, out parents will always stay such an important part of our lives, and when they are no longer there the void is hard to accept in the begin, but it gets better with time. My dad past away 20 years ago and my mom 3 years ago and I miss them all the time. I see the image you posted as a symbol of parent and child. The expression captured on the Gaur's face is that of protection of its calf and that is just how we humans are, we protect our children no matter how old they are, so keep that in mind and remember the good times with your dad and how he protected you as child. I really like the sunlight in the image, and the way it brings out the colours to its best, especially the golden hairs on the side of the Gaur. I also like the direct eye contact it have with you or your camera and then I like the innocent look captured on the calf's face. I am sure you know by now that I like the image a lot and there are such a lot more beautiful qualities in the image that I did not even started to describe as yet. I like it ok! It is a great image, captured without pretence and presented in a most favourable manner. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Smitha, losing father is one of the most excruciating experiences in our lives. I have had it 12 years ago and I still can't cope with it. In his last years, my old man suffered a lot. Your dad was spared that agony and God be thanked for it.
My heart-felt condolences. May his soul rest in peace!
Your memorial picture of a Gaur and its baby is beautiful. It symbolically represents the never-ending cycle of life. We derive solace and hope from it.
