From last December holiday in Cuba

Unfortunately the picture (hand held) did not come out strait and I had to rotate it. Because of that I had to fill up the upper left and lower right corners by cloning the background.

The Cuban Black Hawk (Buteogallus gundlachii) is a bird of prey in the family Accipitridae, which also includes the eagles, hawks and Old World vultures.

It is endemic to the island of Cuba, where restricted to coastal areas. It has traditionally been considered a subspecies of the Common Black Hawk (B. anthracinus), but recent evidence suggests it should be treated as a separate species.[1] Consequently, the AOU formally acknowledged it as a species in 2007.

Excellenta captura! Felicitari! N-am crezut ca se poate realiza o imagine de asemenea calitate cu o pasare in zbor cu obiectivul pe care si eu il folosesc. Se vede ca timpul, experienta si profesionalismul si-au spus cuvantul.

Hi Mario. I have to say this is a first class inflight close up of this Cuban Black Hawk . You were able to caapture every detail in the well focused featehrs. Your use of the light has given such natural looking colours. Very well taken tFs.
