ENGLISH: This little wombat was found in his mother's pouch after she had been hit by a car and killed. He has been nursed back to health and is becoming big and strong. His best friend is an echidna. In my Workshop is a photo of him having his tummy scratched - which is one of his favourite hobbies.

hello Lisa

sad what happened for his mother but happy that he was been nursed back to health,
a beautiful photo of this Australian wild animal, with fine POV,
fine focus sharpness and details of his cute face, and a lovely glance,

Who is this cutie?
An adorable little ball of fur you have here, Lisa.
Sad to hear what happened to his mom, but glad to see that there are organizations that will take care of these orphans and make them ambassadors of their species to the world.
He seems like a pretty big guy to fit into a mother's pouch. Amazing!
Sharp image with a good POV.
TFS. : )

Hallo Lisa
I am so glad you joined the site as you show us animals we do not see everyday or featured on every page of the gallery, just like this little wombat. It is a beautiful little animal with adorable features and it is one of those animals that everybody will ooh and aah about especially females. I personally like the olive shaped eyes and the almost triangular shaped ears and cannot pass without mentioning the lovely fur. I have read that they weigh up to 35kg and become about 1m in length. Looking at this youngster one cannot believe that it will also loose its cuteness and become so big. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

very nice and cute, TFS Ori

Grazie e complimenti
Ciao Maurizio

Hi Lisa

A belated welcome to this wonderful site. Looking at the activities and contributions
you have made thus far I have the feeling you are going to enjoy it here and quickly
make lots of friends world wide. In the process you might learn something about our
wonderful natural world and hopefully you will share your learnings and experiences
with the rest of us so we too can see and appreciate it all. And yes, you will hopefully
also increase in knowledge concerning photography. Sounds like a win-win situation
all the way, doesn't it?

Sounds like albeit all the tragedy this guy is a survivor and he is making the most out
of his current situation, being a crowd pleaser and seemingly a thief or hearts as well.
A lovely capture with nice details; just a slight pity of the ever present pesky grasses.

Well done and TFS.
