Hi Paul,
Groet,
Peter

Hi Paul,
You could have easily called this Beauty and the Beast. Your excellent camera work resulted in a great image under very poor lighting. The colours are muted a touch, but your details and composition are superb, Great work Paul, thank you for sharing.

Hej Paul,
What a start to your series from Kruger!! A fantastic and well-timed capture showing these two fabulous birds together. They're posing very nicely for you and focus is spot-on on both. Great details and lovely natural colours too. I look forward to more!

Hallo Paul
I was looking at the gallery every day to see when you will post your 1st photo from your holiday in the Kruger and here it is. Boy what beauties you have here! and more so because I have recently started a series of all the birds we where able to photograph while we where there. In spite of the very light background ( I presume it was a very hot day) the colours of the Lilac-breasted roller and the Red-billed hornbill are seen beautifully. I like the way the two of them are looking in different directions, and the way one can see the different markings, colourings and shapes of the feathers of the two birds in the image. The termite hill adds lot of character to this image. I am sure you also saw termite hills in abundance just as we did. Thanks for sharing, cannot wait to see more. Best regards.

Hallo Paul.
Prachtige foto.
Mooi om te zien twee verschillende vogels zo dicht bij elkaar.
Ze zijn mooi gekleurd. Ik kan me zo voorstellen dat je er nog veel meer gemaakt heb en ben er benieuwd naar.

Hello Paul,
A fine capture of these two African bird species, the Red-billed Hornbill and the Lilac-breasted Roller. The Sharpness, composition, DOF and colours are excellent.
Look forward to seeing more from your Krüger NP holiday!
Thanks and kind regards,

I like the two birds, of different species and different postures against a white sky.

Hi Paul. Good to see you home again , I trust you had a good time. This is a fine close up of the two Birds. One a beauty and one not so colourful but still very interesting. How lucky to get the two in the one picture. Taken with fine detail and natural colours. I shall look forward to more from the trip.
TFS.

What a fine product of perfect timing Paul, both of the birds are almost in the same plane with the rocky outcrop, so all of them are in perfect focus in spite of the rather shallow DOF provided by your tele lens. Thanks for this nice composition in natural, rich colours.
Cheers,
Mehmet
