Hi again friends,

Here is another shot i took on that foggy and frosty morning when i took my last couple of shots in, too.
I know this type of composition does pretty much break the rules (having the horizon pretty much in the middle) but i wanted to keep the frozen grassy vegetation from the foreground and the ice-covered branches in the same frame, as well. The atmosphere, as you see, was fairytale-like...hence the title :)
By the way, i didn't add or take out any saturation...this is as colorful as it was :)

Hope you'll like it and thanks for visiting.

Hi Horia!

That looks very pretty! The horizon isn't really in the middle, and I believe that this isn't a distrubing element here. From my point of view, the fact that your composition creates a superb perspective and depth of view is much more important than the horzon line near the middle. I also believe that there are situation where we can deviate from strict rules inorder to create a particular effect. Furthermore, your low point of view compensates the somehow centered composition at best. I like this "ballett" of tree-trunks - so well acompanied by the frozen haulmes - very much. The atmosphere is very seasonal and the indirect light creates a superb effect as well as natural colours...

Kind regards

hello Horia
great sharpness picture
great pose of this beautiful forest
great shot
greeting lou

Numai bine

Salut Horia
Am vazut fotografia asta pe site-ul tau si ma gandeam cnd oare ai sa o postezi pe TN. Efectul oferit de ceata/promoroaca/zapada e foarte fain, accesntuand siluetele fantomatice ale copacilor. Ma asteptam poate la un subiect de prim plan ceva mai puternic, o tufa ceva inghetata; Insa si asa, creeaza un strat aproape uniform, apoi urmeaza stratul trunchiurilor si in final, stratul coronamentului. E de fapt o stratificare bine gandita, si f bine executata;
Toate cele bune,

Shalom Horia,

Lovely frosty scene. Great atmosphere in a rather simple but very effective composition.

Well done!

That's a wonderful - almost mystical place.
The atmosphere is silent and contemplative, I love it very much.
Thanks, Horia, a fantastic shot

Buna Horia,
Exceptionala imagine.
Felicitari!

Hello Horia,
Simply beautiful and breath taking, really, I would have a difficult time breathing it's so cold out here :) but for the beauty of this landscape I will endure this shortness of breath. I love the very subdue color, almost like a black and white with a slight green due tone. I also like the fact that you included much of the foreground to show the frosted vegetations and open space before the forest of trees begins. This is truly a beauty of one of the four seasons that I miss. Thanks. Have a great day.

Buna Horia,
Cind am vazut titlul imediat m-am gindit la Enchanted Forest, cea din British Columbia:)
Ei, nu e chiar ca aceea dar pare intr`adevar fermecata. Chiar si impartirea in jumi-juma` pare sa fie OK, cu toate regulile in contra ei:)
S-auzim numai de bine,

Hello Horia,
Very beautiful composition with great management of winter light, fine details of the frosten plants. I like this kind of natural almost black and white... Cheers,

Hi Horia

Great shot of this very cold looking forest. The position of the horizon is fine in this landscape. Great composition and POV.

ciao Horia!
The wide-angle lens creates a stunning winter atmosphere of this forest, where only the logs have been Able to resist frost mage, who has covered its white coating on the ground and the branches....
thanks sERGIO

Hello my Friend!

Fantastic, frozen landscape. It looks great without snow, with only frost covering grass and trees - very fragile and beautifull. Excellent composition of 'dirty' green colour of grass and white mist on horizon. Great moment captured.

Hi mate,
i seem to have missed way too many of your shots! Although they are all of a high standard that we expect, this one though really evokes a strong feeling in me. It's ethereal, almost a bit scary - but in a good way, if you know what i mean. I can't stop looking at it...wish it was one of mine!
Super, super work, congratulations on a fine piece of photography - the 10-20mm is great tool in your hands.
(have seen you email, will respond asap!)
