Midium sized,Stocky,Usually snow white,heron with pronounced jowl and short yellow bill.Very stocky compared with other egrets.In breeding plumage,suffused with orange,bill become more orange and head has more bushy look.Sexes alike.Habit of feeding with,and from the backs of,large ungulates is Characteristic.

Commonest heron.Inhabits wetland,grassland,cultivation,garbage dump,open woodland and urban park.very active feeder,mainly on large insects.

Amazing close-up, very deep ligth, very suitable crop and composition. I disagree a few whit the border frame, but it's a taste question and not down the global performance for this picture. TFS, Jesús
