Hi my TN friends,
As I told you yesterday, this week I'll post some shots that I took last rainy Sunday. Because the pour light conditions I used ISO 1600.

Thanks about the kind words in my last post.
I hope you like this green one and I'm happy to post beside an other green beauty posted by our friend Szabo Jozsef.

Pentatomoidea is a superfamily of insects in the Heteroptera suborder of the Hemiptera order and, as such, share a common arrangement of sucking mouthparts.[1] They are commonly referred to as shield bugs or stink bugs. Shield bugs have glands in their thorax between the first and second pair of legs which produce a foul smelling liquid. This liquid is used defensively to deter potential predators and is sometimes released when the bugs are handled carelessly. The distinctive smell comes from aldehydes such as CH3–(CH2)2–CH=CH–CHO.
The nymphs, similar to adults except smaller and without wings, also have stink glands.
The nymphs and adults have piercing mouthparts which most use to suck sap from plants, although some eat other insects. When they group in large numbers they can become significant pests.
Other species that resemble Pentatomoidea insects are found in the Coreoidea superfamily.
Stinkbugs normally appear during the spring and summer months.

Wonderful colors and beautiful bug.

Very good picture of a Stink Bug, Francisco.
Despite low light, you have managed a fairly sharp image of this insect.
The water drops on its body give it a special look.
Well done and thanks.

Hello Francisco,
Amazing harmony of tones and great sharpness. The result with ISO 1600 is excellent. The little grain add some softness to the composition. Well done MF!

Hi Francisco my friend.

Great capture of this insect and it's interesting to see how the waterdrops works like a spectacle.
With iso 1600 the amount of noise is very acceptable and the sharpness is perfect.
Very well done.

Dear Francisco!

You say you don't know ice formations like the ones I present... well, I don't know bugs like the one you show us here! Isn't internet a wonderful invention? We can exchange pictures and knowledge, make experiences and explain things to other people.

I like your picture very much, and the rainy conditions clearly add to the value of it. The droplets on this beautiful bug create a very pleasant effect. Moreover, the indirect light renders natural colours. I'm also delighted by the unity of the colour tones.

Kind regards

Hi Francisci,
Stunning quality here, great composition and good crop with just the right about of space all around. The shdow box is a bit too strong, it become a bit distracting. I rather see you photo as it is.

Hallo Francisco
The overwhelming colour green, in different shades is really awesome in this macro. Details captured are splendid and real sharp and seen with great clarity. I especially refer to the texture of the shield of the beetle. The patterns remind me of the skin of a lime. The water droplets add extra pizzazz to this already "cool" image. Overall a very pleasing image with lots of detail to appreciate. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
