Tree fern in the Las Nubes Rainforest reserve near San Isidro del General in Costa Rica. The reserve is a project of the Fisher Fund for Neotropical Conservation and York Univ. Ontario, for whom I have done a lot of field work in Costa Rica.

I will post a bigger version sometime. I guess you can only post one photo per day?

Hi Brett,

Welcome to TN. You started with a great shot, where colors and lights are fantastic, the composition's simple yet visually quite effective. Congrats for the nice image. Although I didn't understand the note at all: who doesn't read what? About re-sizing Your pics: try 800 pixels for height or width, with as close size to the 300 KB file-size limit as possible. Use Adobe Photoshop or programs like that for re-sizing, because the softwares You used to get as bonus with the camera usually don't worth too much.

Enjoy Your stay here, with posting Your photos and commenting others' images. Have a nice weekend, greetings from Hungary (Central Europe), László

Hi Brett
Welcome on TN.
Wonderful your first post!
Great details and lovely landscape.
Maybe is little, you can use 300 KB.

Hy Brett
Interesting arborescent fern, remembering me the time when dinosaurs were running around!
It is a pitty that you don't have a larger version!
But keep shooting!

welcome Brett....
interesting capture with the evolution of
this fern in Central America
