Hello Laurens,
very good sharp picture of this bibio marci. Very good POV, great DOF and very good detail. Excellent contrast against the background.
Best regards Siggi

Hi Laurens,
What a ugly bug! However ... I must say that the picture is technically very good ... It is an excellent macro to appreciate the structural details of this insect. Good job!
It interesting to see in WS that females have a smaller head! ...he... he... he...! Are mosquitoes quite curious!
TFS, Regards, Jesús

HI Lou,

A wonderful macro of this St. Mark's Fly. He looks all dressed up and ready for a party. The blacks are marvelous and the details are excellent. He looks great surrounded by the green leaves.

Hello Lou,
A fly I often saw in the past close to my house, but this year nothing until now, too cold!! Your shot is perfectely taken , showing well the big eyes of the Bibio-species. Natural colors too and a good simple presentation.
Thanks and kind regards
