[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
Today on the way home from work I was pleasantly surprised by a newborn Elk calf and his Mom. Hope you like it, this is the youngest calf I have ever seen. These Elk were introduced to the military range that I drive by to get to work and back.

Have a nice w-end!
Love from,

Another excellent trully nature photography example from you MF Rick. Awesome scene reflecting the mother soul indeed. She looks very curious/serious to the fact that you're taking their photo:). Good choice with the composition and impressive lighting that seems to enhance the details. Great job MF!
TFS and have a nice WE!

nice intimate capture, greetings Ori

Lovely shot of a mom and her child Rick.
TFS and regards,

Hello Rick,
Impressive photo of an alert mother with her calf. Fantastic sharpness, details, natural colours, DOF and frontal POV. The composition is a bit tiny above the ears. But a very beautiful photo.

Beautiful image with lovely colors of meadow, the Elk calf perfectly positioned with its mother for this capture, well done. tfs.

hello Rick

excellent timing to shoot this photo full of tenderness,
with fine POV and the way it is framed with leaving a good
free space at the left side, the Mommy and her baby superbly
focused with great sharpness and details, very beautiful
eye-contact of the Mommy with you, TFS

"Dear" neighbor, Rick,
This one is the "icing on the cake" when one compares all your images on TN.
Am so glad you stopped to register this one.
Have gone to Jasper many times; have seen the babies also many times. But, never so tiny a baby.
Thanks for sharing.
Mario with regards from Calgary.

Hi Rick,
This is lovely. Captured in a very nice pose with the mother so alert. Maybe I would have like a little more space on the uppersite of the photo. Very good sharpness and I like the colours.
