This is a great way to start my day,a broad smile turned into laughter when I got round to opening the workshop :-))
I think I know who that stange dude is but I'll say nothing. ;-))...It looks like the English countryside thats all I'll say.
You've certainly got a way with animals but it doesnt work too well with rhinos.
The shot is very good with the animal in its natural surroundings,a nice clear view with good detail.

This is great - the photo, the note and the WS, of course ;)
It made my day - it's very rainy and gloomy today, so thanks for that.
As for your suspicions, few more such experiences and you will have your answer ;)
Thanks for sharing :)

Very funny story Japie ;-))) Loooong tongue, heavy insult ;-) And your workshop...;-)))) I capture mostly insects and they've got faces like poker players but maybe they try to insult me, too ;-))) ? Great post Japie!

Hahaha, Japie, I would not take it personally. : )
Great shot of this very regal buck... and then you see the tongue.
The contrast is hilarious.
Your picture is well framed and a great portrait of this beautiful animal. Well done and TFS. : )

Instead of pitying you of the reaction of animals and human beings to your respect you should jump up with enjoyment. Their reaction proves that they are not indifferent at your presence ;-) My father often makes me grimaces and I am proud of his attitude.
Personal assessment of the photo: great.
Strong visual impact.
A not so easy shot.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.

Great capture Japie! Something tells me this guy doesn't like his picture taken! ;-)) Great moment, great timing. I wouldn't get too paranoid..It's more a paparazzi thing. Even us humans get annoyed when those pesky photographers are always sneaking up on us ;-)

Ahem, very nice shot Japie. Excellent capture and good composition. I like the intimacy of this moment It could have been a little sharper and the bushes are encroaching a little. But it's a good wildlife shot.
The WS is absolutely amazing, just who is that good looking chap.
I'm still laughing.

Very funny capture Japie,
Well composed and nicely framed. The notes make an amusing read, as for the workshop, highly amusing.
Thanks for posting.
*POV:5, You were on the same hight as the Kudu.
*DOF:4, The leaves in the right corner are a little disturbing and because of the branch partly blocking the left ear, that ear seems to be a wee bit oof.
*Composition:3, I would have considered a slightly tighter crop to get the Kudu a little more out of the centre.
*Details:4, There are quite a lot of details visible; catchlight in both eyes, furdetail and details on the horns. Thge face itself looks rather flat though.
*Exposure:5, Excellent. The Subject is partly in the shade and there are a few whites; you handled it all perfectly.
*Colors:4, all colors look very natural.
*Note:5, Perfect! Informative about both the Kudu and the camera settings & there is some humor aswell. A fantastic note!
*X-factor:5, The tongue, the title and the note makes this perfect. Very funny! :)
Scale 1-5, 5 is the best.
In case you missed the recent chit-chat on the forum (I believe it was just repeating old words, which have been said earlier on the forum before I joined as a member): since yesterday I have a new way of writing critiques and awarding points. I hope you like my new way of writing critiques. If you don't, just tell me.
I really think this is a very nice picture, but I think the face looks a little flat. Also the portrait-composition doesn't really appeal to me this time. I do think it is a very funny picture and combined with the great note & title, I decided to give a 2-pointer. But I was in doubt. ;)

Yes, it seems that many of God's creatures on this earth are rude. Oh well. We'll have to live with that while enjoying your lovely photos of them. Nice composition and capture, Japie, and super use of framing around the animal.

Hulle is so moeilik om te kry.
What a funny post, Japie. Along with the WS I am going to need medical help to stop me from laughing.
Technically there are some minor imperfections but the idea behind this made it all the more enjoyable. TFS.

Sorry I am in so late....This is an excellent shot. Your timing to get the facial expressions you do must be magic. I'll wait forever and not get this type of shot. This one is superb.. Love It!

Hi Japie. A good shot but nowhere near your best. With all the foliage in focus things are a bit cluttered, I might have cropped a bit. It is strange that the face is not quite sharp and I think this could be the classic case of the digital sensor finding the contrast it was looking for way back in the bush. The tongue is comical and a good moment caught. Kind regards, Rob. PS - Go bokke

Hi Japie. Maybe you should try to give a response to this attitudes and try to answer with some faces too. I dont know if it works, but shure it is relaxing and funny :D
I liked very much to see not only his face but his beautiful horns, and enjoyed very much remembering your old shots. Thanks my friend. ;-b
