What a scene! Well done Grzegorz! Very interesting post, in the spirit of TN to learn about nature. I didn't know that and never see it. Your photo is also well done, with sharp details and good composition. TFS. Cheers,
Catherine

A picture of epic dimensions, Greg!
Goodness gracious, you have captured 13 subjects within this frame engaged in the business of survival!
The Crab spider is the master of ceremonies in this dramatic scene. That it can capture a bee much larger than itself is a charisma of nature.
The image is pin sharp and beautiful.
Thanks and regards.

Hello Greg,
An amazing macro!
Not only tecnically superb showing these insects and a spider with fine sharpness and colours, but also showing a phenomenon rarely shown, if ever before on TN: kleptoparasitism!
Well done, Congratulations and thanks!
Best regards,
Ivan

Świetna fota, tyle się na niej dzieje! :)
Już od jakiegoś czasu chcę się wybrać do Ogrodu Botanicznego. Żałuję jedynie, że dość późno jest otwierany. ;/
Pozdrawiam!

Hi Red Greg
What a busy scene!!
I don't know who to feel sorry for the most. The bee or the small flies who are going to lose their meal as soon as the pretty spider eats the big fellow.
Excellent capture - the 18 (at least) insects are so very crisp and sharp.
I'm impressed

Hi Grzegorz,
What an interesting scene. Furthermore captured with crisp clear details and perfect light. Very appropriate DOF and composition. Not even a small nit. I love this pic.
I saw those flies on a dragonfly prey. I had no idea then that they were specialised in this way of finding food. Thanks for your very informative note.
