Puffin chase

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
While not a great shot technically, it is one that shows what a puffin must go through to bring his catch home (see my previous shot to see a closer view of a puffin with sand eels in flight).
Before making it home to an underground nest, he must pass through a gang of agressive gulls who come to steal his food. I'd often see the puffin reach his borrow entrance when a gull would grab him by the neck, pull him out and take all the fish. |

Dear Dan,
An extraordinary action shot telling in great detail the story of the chased Puffin.
""Learning about nature through photography"" - the motto of TrekNature - is definitely met with this image.
Very interesting to watch the little puffin (with its funny face)against 5 big gulls with their beaks wide open and threatening body language, acting like vultures!!
Thanks for sharing
Greetings from South Africa
Ingrid
