Really nice photo. About the only thing I would suggest is cropping some of the foreground shadow. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Eleanor, nice shot you got here, I like the composition, colours and lighting. I think the focus is a bit soft on its face, I agree with Kris to crop out some of the foreground shadow. Well captured and thanks for sharing. :)
This is great Eleanor.
Nice clear details and good light.
I'll try a workshop to illustrate what the others have pointed out.
How ungainly the giraffe looks Eleanor. I like your composition but I agree with Steve, Ld Potty, with how he has cropped it an sharpened it. Mostly it is better not to have the main subject right in the centre. It is an intersting picture and I never realise this is how they have to reach down to teh water. Well shown, thank you.
You captured the moment very well, catching this tall giant just as it righted itself after drinking water. The focus is fantastic, and I really like this picture. I have to say that the foreground bothers my eye as well. Overall very well done and welcome to the site.
Hello Eleanor, a warm welcome to TN,(belated).
This is an amazing capture!
Details are sharp, pose of this giraffe is fantastic, and BG is very interesting.
Steve has done a great ws and I agree with his changes.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful posting with us.

Hi Eleanor, nice shot of the moment. The pose is fantastic and the workshop shows how to add to a really good photo. BTW, giraffes are one of favorite animals and I love to see them in a natural habitat (we only have them in zoos). Thanks for sharing and welcome!

Different perspective of the giraffe. As the others have siad, the composition you chose to post could have been better with a bit of cropping. Presentation is everything, and Steves workshop is a good suggestion on what you could have done.

Great sight of the Giraffe who looks very uncoordinated. The water falling from the mouth is well done... good timing. I agree that Steves workshop has enhanced the image, but in my opinion, it's still a great shot. Thanks.

Great capture Elanor! Great view of this giraffe stretching out to have a drink. Imagine having to go to all that trouble! I like the centered composition here. It's a great shot, well done.
Youve captured the moment really well here. Well done. I like the workshop that Steve did, but would go even further and make the shot more panaramic. I've uploaded a workshop to show what I mean.
Well done though,

Wat een leuke foto vind ik dit.
De moeite die de giraf moet doen om een slok water te nemen komt hier zo duidelijk over.
Ik vind dit werkelijk een top foto.
dank je wel voor het schowen ervan.
What leuke photograph find I this. The effort that the giraf must do a mouthful take water comes about this this way clear. I find this really a top photograph thank you, however, for the schowen of it.
