Sauterelle à sabre

This may be eventually a male Decticus verrucivorus or a nymph of this species. The head makes me think about this species, but it seems to lack of wings which adult specimens have.
Hoppers and crickets are of my favourite subjects but their identification isn't easy at all. If somebody has an idea, all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks to Ivan (Argus) to have confirmed my ID

Bonjour Anne,
Once again I agree with your ID, even though a nymph makes it more difficult.
It seems that only D. verrucivorus has such and eye and heavy-looking squat body.
The POV, sharpness and colours are top class and the composition on the leaf is pleasing.
Merci et bonne journée,

Hello Anne,
Beautiful macro of this Green Cricket in great natural colours and very good sharp details. Excellent POV and diagonal composition.

Such an interesting cricket - it's head reminds me of the helmet on a Stormtrooper! Excellent capture of color, and camouflage! Your detail is perfect. Great work.

Hi Anne,

Extremely green tones in this scene, really grabs the viewers attention. I'm very impressed by the clarity and details of the small cricket, it looks perfect. Inspiring work my friend.
TFS and have a nice night!

Wonderful and sharp details and lovely green colors.
Perfect shot!

Hello Anne,
For some reason I do not manage to explain, I think this macro is very "alive." It may be a diversity of lines, perfect details and a complex and eloquent. Good job! pretty impressive!

Bonjour Anne,

Hello Anne,
Sorry I can't help with the ID on this little hopper, but you did a great job of capturing him with this top notch image. The detail is exceptional and the colors are very natural and beautiful.

Bonjour, Anne,
Tres belle compositions de verts tonalités. Félicitations.

Ciao Anne,
Grazie e complimenti.
Buon fine di settimana
Con amicizia

Hello Anne,
such a well camouflaged nymph. The short and stocky view is well detailed and the sharpness is good.
The antenna is so sharp sticking out into the air.
Good shines depicting the beauty.
