Here's a shot from earlier in the year. This is an African Leopard, from the rare leopard Project.
As with a previous post, I've desaturated the green to give a better effect (I think).

Here is a link to a previous post of this African Leopard. This post has full notes about the leopard.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, thanks for looking.

Hey Alan,

This is a fantastic shot. The last time that I saw that look on a leopard's face was when we came across a pair of mating leopards, and the old boy was kinda asking for some privacy --- at least that's what I think he wanted. The bluring of the whiskers gives the picture a nice action feel to it. It's actually quite surpising that the rest is so sharp. Well done and TFS

An impressive and powerful shot Alan.
Normally, the cut off bit at the top would bug me,but in this case the foremost features are so 'in your face' and demand your attention.
I like this very much. The whisker movement creates an interesting effect which gives it an animated feel.
Well done!

Wow what a powerful picture.
You did it well Alan. And this is a wonderful shot of the Leopard. Good job and TFS.

Love this shot Alan, You've captured this head down, snarling, pissed-off look extremely well IMO. Very good details, colors and sharpness..I can not nit-pic this excellent capture, Very good work!

Hi Alan

He is a mean looking Leopard with a whole lotta attitude. The head down pose is excellent. The effect of the blurred whiskers is great, must be some kinda growl to make them move. Nice work. Thanks.

Hello Alan!
Fantastic shot! Just amazing. Nothing to add!

Hello Alan,

Pose is awesome and the composition and framing are perfect. Colors are really amazing. I think the oof whiskers are a bit distracting and the BG is a wee bit grainy. Great picture! Well done & TFS!

Hello Alan.
Very pouwerfull shot. The colours and sharpness are excellent, the colours also

Great impact Alan, even from the thumbnail this one jumps out at you. Well done, Rob

Hi Alan, I love the expression you've caught on the cat's face, it looks really scary. Lovely exposure and composition, beautifully sharp. Very well done :)

What a pose&look in his face.Nice composition.

This is a very good shot, Alan. The pose is very intimidating and the blur of the wiskers unbelievable. The eyes does have a bit of unnatural look to it. Did you do anything in PP to it? I would have loved to see the whole leopard in the frame but it's just nit-picking. Love this.

Fantastic shot Alan, stunning details, excellent sharpness and colours. Great POV, DOF and composition.
Thanks for posting

Wow, Alan.. this is a very intimidating looking cat! You caught a natural looking pose with a great POV. The leopard's spots on the head are very clear and detailed! Exceptional :-)

I can feel his tension from here. He's not a happy chappy, is he? But he's a beauty though, and it's a great composition Alan. The whiskers look great, showing the only movement like real agitation as the body slinks down to attack. Well caught. I like it.

Stunning action shot, the movement shown by the blurred whiskers is nice. Well done and TFS.

Hi Alan, excellent shot! Lot's of impact here. I think I like the desaturated greens too, could you post the original as a WS? I'd be grateful. The animal looks fantastic and you've got excellent details and sharpness. My only nit is I'd like to see the shoulders in the frame, or otherwise a tighter crop.

Very well done!

Great quality photo!
Perfect composition, sharp image.

WoW! Absolutely terrifying and majestic portrait! Those whiskers are superb! You were very brave, I would have been making tracks! Extraordinary! 10 out of 10!

A really stunning photo.
Love the dark background and the lighting on the cat, makes for excellent contrast.
The motion-blur (I think) on the whiskers adds something extra.
Well done.

hello Alan
je découvre tes images et elles sont très belles
celle ci est remarquable par sa netteté et ses couleurs
c'est une très bonne idée d'avoir désaturer l'herbe derrière
celà donne encore plus d'éclat à la bète
bravo à toi

Cool picture, Alan, I love the motion artifact of the whiskers. He looks like he just tasted some skunky beer, maybe a Bass? LOL!

Have a great rest of your weekend!

It's a very powerful picture. The colors and the sharpness is very good.

Its a beauty Alan, colour, sharpness and a great pose with impact. Love it. 8/10 Excellent my friend.

What a great photo with an almost 3 dimensional quality about it. The colours are beautifull saturated and the expression you caught on it's face is certainly fierce. I'm glad I dropped in to have a look at your photos better than last time :-)

What a powerful photo!!! WOW!!!
Great capture, colors, action..I can say:everything is just perfect:)
I like it a lot.

Hi Alan,
The very first thing I've done when looking at this wonderful photo was to add it to my favourite list. Wow, a stunning image you have achieved here!! The blur of the whiskers, the sharpness of the beautiful green eyes, the intimidating pose - looks like a shot from National Geographic. I bet this one is frmaed and hanged on your wall;)

Great Shot!
Focus and exposure are perfect. I would have like to see all animal's back but the composition is still excellent. Best of all is the contrast and the colors saturation. Beautiful work and TFS

I was out of points yesterday, so here is your score

Wow, I like this shot. Very good details, sharpness and colours. Well done.

u were a lucky man to captured this shot.

Without doubt one of the best, if not THE BEST feline shots here in TN ! PERFECTION, maybe a little too enthusiastically "contrasted and sharpened" but not too much. The moment captured is sublime and worthy of a magazine cover!

What beautiful big cat!
Bye Tom

Very nice picture,
very good crop; also very good framing;
this animals seriosly looks scary :-)
