I was walking my wheelchair with my feet instead Of using thee wheels and hands...so I was going slow and when I saw this swallowtail about 50 feet away I didn't think my chances were good...but the angels were with me..The Leica lens is sharp from long distance. I had Kathy Meader walking along for my safety.

You may be handicapped at present Bob, but you certainly can take a good shot of a Tiger Swallowtail: at a distance of 50ft!!!
A fine shot with your Leica with great sharpness, natural colours and details.
Very impressive and TFS,
Ivan

Hi Bob!

I believe it's quite normal that the angels were with you... and they helped you to take this magnificent picture of a magical piece of freedom and nature!

Kind regards

Hallo Bob
A great photo filled with a beautiful assortment of colours and detail. A wonderful composition with the exposure done beautifully. The colours in the image are complementing each other nicely. The natural sunlight in the image gets a definite plus. The details are really super. A lovely image with a Spring is in the air feeling which is presented in a lovely manner. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards
Anna

Hello Bob,
Beautiful shot of this Tiger Swallowtail. I love to view these big colorful butterflies whenever they visit the flowers around the house. Looks like you captured this one in a nice pose as it was visiting the pinkish blooms. Excellent detail and gorgeous colors. Great to see you posting once again.

Hello Bob,
By chance I just saw this wonderful shot, what means also that you are back! I'm so happy to see that things are better for you and that you have the opportunity again to take some shots.
And what you have seen, is just marvellous..
Take care
Kind regards
Anne

Hey there, amigo. How very good to stop back by the neighborhood and see a string of posts by you several days running! I suspect it's slow, and frustrating, but it is progress. I wish you the very best as your recovery continues, Bob.

I like the sharpness of the Leica here and, of course, the composition. The magenta flora offer a pleasing contrast to those yellow wings, and I like the way the flowers stretch diagonally across the frame -- it draws the eye toward the subject.

Keep 'em coming!

Warm regards,
Jim

Hi Bob,

The flowers and the vegetation are framing well the butterfly. the point of view is showing the details and colors of the Swallow Tail butterfly. The late morning light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre

Hy Bob
Nice too see your perseverence in taking images! And this one I like very much. There is a strong contrast between the pink flowers and the butterfly, and the image is very sharp as you said already.
Well done and take care!
Oana
