[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bachelor's Buttons

This recipe is a favorite because it's so quick, easy and economical and yet looks and tastes so special. Loved by children and adults alike.
Ingredients:

1 egg
3 oz. butter
glace' cherries
5 oz. self rising flour
3 oz. castor sugar (plus a little extra for dipping buttons)

Directions:

Prepare a greased and floured baking tray. Rub the butter into the flour, add sugar then the well beaten egg and mix together. Take small knobs of the mixture and dip each knob into castor sugar and place on baking tray. Put half a cherry on each and bake in a hot oven until golden brown.

Don't make buttons too big as they spread in the cooking

Hello Bob,
Your composition reminds me that summer is drawing to and end and it will only be a short time until winter is upon us once again. The open pine cones, leaf litter and dried needles complimented by the lone Button, is a sure sign that fall is right around the corner.
Your recipe sounds good, now if I can only convince Rosie to make it!

A fine presentation of both the flowers and the recipe with the same name!
I like the contrast of colours of the striking blue flower (what is also called Cornflower in Europe) and the brown and orange BG of its habitat. The composition is great too.
You may have had a physical set-back but you haven't lost your touch Bob!
That also applies to the WS you did on my latest: thanks!

A charming view this mix of blue flowers, pine cones and stones! A natural arrangement which obviously hasn't escaped to your eyes. A typical Bob Shannon subject! So happy to see that you take again pictures and show them on TN. But take care!
