Spix's Guan (Penelope jacquacu) is a species of bird in the Cracidae family. It is found in Bolivia,Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Its estimated global range is approximately 5,000,000 km² and is common in at least parts of this range. It is therefore considered a least concern species by theIUCN.[1]

Hi Raimundo,
Tell me a bit about this shot. Captive bird, or did you just shoot it in the bush?
In any event, given the blackish-grey of the culottes (i.e. the tibiotarsal feathering - in jacquacu the culottes are a sort of chocolate brown), the small zone below the culottes (which corresponds to the back of the ankle in humans - i.e., here we can see the glabrous zone of the proximal tarsometatarsus) where we can see that the tarsometatarsus appears to be grey (not the pale red of jacquacu), the evident supercilium (good for race bronzina of P. obscura - that ranges here naturally), I would tend to think that this is Penelope obscura bronzina (Dusky-legged Guan).
