The brown roll-rim

The brown roll-rim (Paxillus involutus), commonly known as common roll-rim, or poison pax, is a poisonous basidiomycete fungus, previously considered edible and eaten widely in Eastern and Central Europe. It had been recognized as causing gastric upsets when eaten raw, but was more recently implicated in a potentially fatal immune hemolysis in those who had consumed the mushroom without ill-effects for years. It often grows near edible mushrooms as well which makes it harder to identify by amateur mushroomers.
Resembling a brown wooden top, the epigeous (aboveground) fruiting body (basidiocarp) may be up to 6 cm (2.4 in) high. The cap, initially convex then more funnel-shaped (infundibuliform) with a depressed centre and rolled rim (hence the common name), may be reddish-, yellowish- or olive-brown in color and 4–12 cm (1.6–5 in) wide. The cap surface is initially downy and later smooth, and is sticky when wet.

Znane olszowki sa pospolite wszedzie. Sam kiedys jadlem te grzyby i nawet ciekawy mialy smak. Dobre ujecie ale nieco zbyt ciemne.
