[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Monticola brevipes is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family. This species lives in the south african region (Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa). This is a relative of our european Robin.
The picture was taken in Waterberg Nationalpark.

To my knowledge this is the first picture of this bird on TN?

Hi Pierre,

Seems to be showing off for you!:). Well captured moment.
The colours appear nice and natural, and the exposure looks very sufficient. Good composition too!
TFS and have a nice night MF!

Hello Pierre,
In quality the best photo of this species I've seen so far. Brilliant sharp details, great frontal POV and very beautiful natural colours. Good composition, DOF and OOF BG.

Hi Pierre,
Excellent capture.Exposure is spot on,details are crisp clear.Very well done!
Thanks for posting..

Nice one. The first photo that I have seen of an adult male (this is the nominate race brevipes) sporting the variably present white crown found only in the nominate race.

Hello Pierre,
This is such a stunning photo of this little bird. Amazingly clear sharp detail and beautiful colors. Never thought that these two colors would look so well together. I like the glint in the eye. Very well done and thanks for sharing.
