[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
From my backyard:

The female Common blue (Lepidoptera; Lycaenidae; Polyommatus icarus Rott. 1775; Hauhechel-Bläuling; Azuré commun) has a wing span of 28 mm. It reproduces in my backyard thanks to wild growing Fabaceae (here: Lotus corniculatus).

The species occurs in all of Europe, Canary islands, Northern Africa and Asia right down to the Pacific.

Lieber Dieter,
Anne
