The smelling guided us to this giant carcass of an elephant. We even found the way back to our camp in Mamili Nationalpark (Caprivi) thanks to him!
This is nature.... living and dying.
Hope you are not too shocked.

Hi Pierre,
Shot for the tasks maybe. They're gone.

Bonjour Pierre,

Bonjour Pierre,
Not shocked about your photo but about man's greed.

In our area a lot of Rhinos are poached, last month 28!!

Just like heroin - as long as there are people who buy ivory jewelry, elephants will be killed...

Poor people will kill for less than thousands of Rands!

Thank you for showing this sad story of human behaviour.

I wish you a nice evening and a good Sunday

Incredible, horrific and in the same time perfectly natural end of life Pierre. This is nature as you are saying! Thanks for sharing!

Hy Pierre
It is sad, but it's part of nature. We are used to prezent beautiful images and beautiful subjects, but it seems that we forget ( or we don't like to see ) the only certitude in life: death!

Thanks for sharing with us such moment...

Hi Pierre!
We must face this: once we live there will be a moment when we must go... The questions are: when, how and mainly... what we leave behind us...
My only hope is that this particular corpus is not the result of human greed...
