Argia oculata - Hagen in Selys, 1865

The mate of the odonates of suborder "Zygoptera" is one of the most peculiar behavior throughout the animal kingdom. This, start with the "grip" by the male of female (the today's shot), hugs his cercoides (prehensile appendages located at the end of your body) by the neck. Then, the male passes his sperm on the end of his body, which generates, in a cavity at the beginning of the abdomen and the female bends to enter their sex organ in the cavity where the male has hosted its producing sperm insemination. This position has led to the symbol that humans use to represent the "heart" (the tomorrow's shot) ... Curious, no? ...

Salut Jesus
Quel magnifique prise de vue de ces deux belles demoiselles! Les couleurs sont sublimes.La composition est trčs belle ainsi que les détails!
Merci et au revoir....JP

Hola amigo Jesús,

Fantastic action shot, just with the right exposure and timing. Beautiful sharpness, excellent natural colors, majestic background blur, pleasant composition... Top class photo without doubt, a brethtaking masterpiece. Bravo MF.

I checked out SX 110 IS on a local test site. Hm, now I see it's a possible choice for the future, although previously I was thinking about Nikon D40 and so. I'm glad you already have Photoshop, too, and it seems like you use it perfectly.

Perfect capture friend Jesus! Good morning/evening ! Well, impressive clean shot taken from a perfect point of view with briliant dept of field under ideal soft morning light. Today you are using much longer Focal length of the camera, lets see, 14,4mm ..mmm m m .. which is 78mm on my camera! Interesting, but obviously make sense! Never the less giant capture friend Jesus, truly spectacular result, resulting in BIG PICTURE!

P.S. And please measure your words more carefully, I am not so qualified to be called Professor!! Ha..haa ha, some other members deserve and hold that title tightly with sure!!
