[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Forster's Hawkfish (Paracirrhites forsteri) are also known as Forster's, Blackside Hawkfish.

Forster's Hawkfish can be recognised by its colouration. It is yellowish above, with a dark brown to black stripe laterally. The cheek is grey to white with red spots.

This species grows to 22cm in length.

It occurs in tropical marine waters of the Red Sea and Indo-Pacific where you'll find them laying on different type of corals.

I've tried several times before with my previous cameras to get good photo's of this fish without any luck. They are extremely shy normaly, but this one actually let me come as close as 15 cm from him/her. The coral has a diameter of approx 2-3 cm. That gives you an idea about the size of the fish.

The photo was taken at Abu Hashish on 14 meters depth. JPEG Medium quality. It's croped and resized.

belle photo
dommage que le poisson ne soit pas bien éclairé, il reste des zones d'ombres.
Sinon elle est très jolie

The POV appart from the wonderful colour and textures undersea provides, make this shot very good (and funny). Thanks for posting.

Otra hermosa composicion Peter.
El juego de luces y sombras en esta escena es fundamental.
Atinado DOF y POV, con bellos tonos y buen encuadre.
