[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Carl Linnaeus mentions this sub-species of grey wolf in his 1758 publication and they once we common in Europe and Asia; however, the numbers are few in Europe now. This wolf is in a protected area within a park.

That said, outside of the protected area, there are still sightings of wolves in this area of Bavaria near the Czech boarder. There is some belief that they are becoming more able to live closer to humans, perhaps like foxes have.

Hi Dan, you have a very natural looking shot here. Very nice. The wolf shoes no signs of alarm and looks nicely in focus.

very beautiful scene, less acidity but οκ!

Amazing capture Dan. Really! I am so fascinated from the beauty of those creatures. Perfect shot indeed. As I can see here from the submitted data you have been used a very special lens here. The Canon EF200mm f/2.8L USM. The photograph of the Wolf seems quite lovely and sharp even at f/2.8 aperture. Are you happy with the lens performance wide open? I have read mixed reviews! Wonderful work Dan, thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Hi Dan
Interesting to read there are still some wolves freely roaming in the east of Europe!

A good presentation of a rare animal.

Hy Dan
An extraordinary image with of the Europe's predator. Maybe too much sharpness for my taste ( you can reduce the noise from the bg with NeatImage). Did you photograph this wolf free in the forest? Or in a safari park? I have doubts that are still free in Germany....
Kind regards,
